Hello, All.

I've been kinda quiet in here lately.  With my new job, there's limited free
time, so tonight I'm trying to catch up a little.  The good news is that my
wife, Maura, has taken a part-time job as a cashier at a local grocery store.
It's not much, but with our combined incomes, we'll be able to keep our heads
comfortably above water concerning bills and still have a little to sock away
for a rainy day...and a bit to enjoy every now and then.

Also, since I have a few of you all from here that use my offline mail system
in the BBS quite often, I've decided to switch my BBS software back to
Telegard.  The two main reasons: 1) TG offers resetting your message base
last-read pointers by date and 2) there is a working, Y2K-patched version of
the Blue Wave mail door for Telegard (thanks to Nancy Backus's "wizard" of a
husband).

I've got most of the new BBS set up, but I've yet to set up BW and get the user
accounts from the old board over to the new one.  I'm only moving over active
accounts, so if there's those of you who haven't called my board in over six
months, you'd have to create a new account (unless you ask me to keep your old
one).

Also, if any of my users need a real email address (POP3/SMTP, no webmail),
just ask.

I'm also doing much better with my sleep apnea.  There is some sort of index
that is used to show your severity of sleep apnea.  At the time of my sleep
test last year, it was 22.5.  According to my CPAP machine's logs, it's now
dropped down to 4.  I also switched masks from the "nose pillows" to a "nose
mask", which while triple the size of the nose pillows, it is much more
comfortable and stays on my head easier.

Nice to hear everyone's doing okay for the most part.  Unfortunately, I don't
think we'll make it to the picnic this year.  I'm not eligible for vacation
until after a year's time and I don't know if Maura could get off enough time
herself from her work.  So, yet again, time and happenstance have foiled our
plans for coming to the picnic, but as always, I'll hear lots of banter about
it and see a picture or two.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Cheddar and Broccoli Appetizers
 Categories: Cheese, Appetizers
      Yield: 30 servings

     10 oz Frozen chopped broccoli*
      8 oz Whole kernal corn; drained
    1/4 c  Onion; chopped
    1/2 c  Walnuts; coarsely chopped
    1/2 c  Milk
    1/4 c  Butter; melted
      2    Eggs
    1/2 c  Bisquick
    1/4 ts Garlic salt
      1 c  Cheddar cheese; shredded

  *Thaw and drain the broccoli.  Heat oven to 375.

   Grease a 9x9x2" pan. Mix broccoli, corn, onion and walnuts. Place in
  pan. Beat remaining ingred. except cheese until smooth, 15 sec. in
  blender on high, stopping blender frequently to scrape sides if
  necessary, or 1 min. with electric mixer on high.

   Pour evenly into pan.  Bake until knife inserted in center comes out
  clean, 23-25 min.; sprinkle with cheese. Bake until cheese is melted,
  2-3 minutes longer. cool 30 minutes. Cut into triangles or squares.
  Makes 30 appetizers.
