I'm told it's called 'glop bread' in a newsgroup I recently joined on bread
making.  High hydration but apparently it works?

Meantime I'm looking over my larder and contemplating.  Having posted a
series of low protein for Peter, I'm now looking at a few simple but high
protein ones.  They happen to match pretty close to what's in my kitchen. 
You'll see them sprnkled about today on messages.

Oh, neat news!  I have my trip arranged to Pensacola now.  I fly out Sunday
and back on Friday.  Get this, on the route back I got a free upgrade to them
front row seats!  3A and 4A on both (have a short layover and plane swap in
Atlanta both firections).  They didnt have any economy seats left so they got
the upgrade for free for CSC company.  Cool.  All Delta flights.  Hotel is
Crowne Plaza (looks nice, company will pay most of it and this one is better
than their Marriot which is 5 miles from the place I need to be at vice CP
which is less than a mile.  So I upscaled and will pay 10$ a day out of
pocket.  I bet when I check in with an actve duty ID, they will reduce the
rate a bit further).


This recipe looked simple.  I was thinking to break up some of the beef patties

that came with the other beef we got.  They make wonderful burgers but may be
adaptable to this as well.


MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: "When the Shepherd Is in a Hurry" Pie
 Categories: Beef
      Yield: 1 Servings
 
  1 1/2 lb Ground beef
      1 sm Onion; chopped fine
    1/2 pk Lipton's onion soup mix or
           -more to taste
      1    To 1 1/2 cup water
      1    To 2 tbsp flour
      1    16 oz pkg frozen corn,
           -green beans, carrots
           Whichever you prefer
      8    10 servings instant mashed
           -potatoes
           Made per box  directions
 
  First, brown your ground beef and onion over medium-high heat.  Add
  the onion soup to taste and the water. You can add more and taste it
  as the mix tends to be salty. Cook this mixture about 5-10 minutes
  and add pepper if you like.
  
  Push the ground beef to one side of the pan and sprinkle the flour in
  while stirring the broth briskly.  Careful here!  It will lump quite
  easily. The idea is to make a gravy and if you like, you can dissolve
  the flour in a little cold water before stirring in. Bring back to a
  boil and add more water if you like a thinner gravy.
  
  Pour this meat mixture into a large casserole dish such as a 13x9
  oblong baking pan. Add the frozen vegetables and top with the
  prepared mashed potatoes. Bake about 30-40 minutes, uncovered, in a
  350 degree oven. Serves well with a simple salad and about 6 hungry
  people, possibly with some left for lunch the next day. Reheats well.
