I'm "bacheloring" while Anne is in Yakima and
until I fly out to Tennessee on Thursday am.
meals have been low cal...mostly salads and

Oh gosh yes! We do a lot of exports to Japan
and they are SO picky about letting anything
in so many farms are tailored to the Japanese
market.

-> aghast at it but I think when she ate it, she didn't really know it was
-> there.  I put in less than usual and we didn't tell my dad; he probably
-> would have had fits. OTOH, Robert had a couple of good sized plates

-> BTW, the "secret ingredient" is usually a good squeeze of spicy brown
-> mustard; today I had to settle for a small dollop of yellow mustard.

Funny, I like to use a smidge of Dijon mustard 
in mine!
 
-> Our condolencess on your dad's death; you've written quite a bit about
-> him over the years. SC will be hot and humid; hope you're feeling

The service in SC was today, and obviously 
I didn't make it  to that one. I leave thursday
early am on my way to West Tennessee for the
burial in the family plot. Temps will be 95 + and
65% humidity...I'll be suffering for sure. However
it will be good to see a lot of relatives that I have 
not seen in a great while. Sadly, more and more of
the family "get togethers" seem to be centered around
the loss of someone dear. I am saddened by my 
father's passing, but gratified that it was fairly 
fast and painless. My biggest concern now is for
my mother, after 60 years of marriage, I'm not sure
she'll make the coming adjustments very well.
