I believe your lot have also rejected imports from your southern
neighbour for that reason.

Perhaps they have been trying to unload the stuff rejected by the EU
onto the Canadans?

You are fortunate if you have 100% inspection of imports.  In
Australia there is nothing that good.  A lot of weight is given to the
reputation of individual suppliers, and not much action is taken
unless there have been complaints from customers or local growers.
Hopefully, my Chinese peanuts will continue to remain at the present
high standard.

My purchases are mainly based on my own experience using the items.
For example I prefer Pearl River Bridge light or mushroom soy sauce to
Kikoman, as it is of good taste, and lower in salt than the Japanese
variety - and cheaper.   For dark soy, I like the Filipino Silver
Swan, and for sweet soy, Indonesian ABC.

The original price was about double that, but it was only 3 days off
the expiry date, so I cooked the venison straight away, and unpacked
and cling-wrapped the goat meat before freezing it, as instructed by
the woman at the shop, who was very insistant.

As well as my dislike of chocolate, I also hate Cococola unless it is
diluted with sufficient dark rum to mask its taste.

(I wonder, will the US Immigration people ever let me re-enter USA?)
