That it was!  It wasnt until she came over, that i realized what was going
on.  Keystone kops material in real life.

Yeah, and Sasebo being so much a small community, lack of seeing her ever
again out at Tonoo, was telling.  She's one of the ones who centered in on
just the American side.  One 'bad experience' ad she gave up I guess.  I feel
bad that i was related to that, but it was her fault for not 'getting back on
the horse and learning to ride'.

Oh yes!  In fact, I shopped there quite regular both before and after.  I'd
always check her live vats as she has some of the more interesting things.
Her prices weren't cheap (even by Japan standards) but her quality more than
made up for it.

She was (is i assume) one of the ones with fairly good english so she could
tell you how to cook something that was odd to you.  She didnt always know
'english' name for things but if it wasnt real busy, she'd put 'number 1 son'
on the line and take you to the stall that sold the thing she meant and show
it to you.  If busy, she'd write a note and describe the stall and off you'd
go to get it.

I remember her once saying a word i didnt know at all, but the stall was the
Miso lady.  I just grinned and asked if it was a color of miso.  She blinked.
 Yes, that is how to say it.  It is old miso (she meant aged) and dark and
brown.  I'm pretty sure thats how she figured out how to tell me it but it
was many years ago now.  The Sasebo at least, name for this dosent use the
word 'miso' in the title.  Once we knew it was 'Miso Lady' I just held up a
pinky with a question mark on my face and she held up pinky and 4th but
crooked the 4th.  She waved her hand over my purchase as she did this.

We knew what she meant and it was faster by far than trying
to say it.  (She meant get 2 balls, but use 1.5 of them for that amount).

Heheh they were having so much fun, they didnt really notice the mess until
they were done.

Wonderful fun!  If you grab them gently, they hold their load.  If you
squeeze a bit, they get scared and spit in defense ;-)  A stream can go 5 ft
to 8 ft depending on size of critter.
