I don't think we ever took much of anything home before.  We were never at
the right place at the right time.

So this time, after tasting that delicious pork shoulder, and that
marvelous pastrami, I noticed there was respectable chunks left.  I 
decided to take some home.  I got a little of Dave's pastrami.  I remember
fighting with you to get some of the fat you were parceling to Michael.  I
got as nice 2 oz piece. [g]

Then you offered me some of your pork and I got a nice inch thick slice.
Thank you, kind Sir!

The meat is nearly gone, in my sandwiches with no condiments to hide the
taste.   Simply marvelous meats!  I can't thank you guys enough.

At that time the picnic was over and folks were bundling out leftovers.  I
realized that there would be no capicola to taste.   I wasn't about to
leave without tasting it, so I brazenly asked Michael for some of it.  He
was frantically trying to get ride of stuff, and said if I could find some
I could have it.  I found a 3x3x4 piece of meat in a cry-o-vac wrap and
asked M if that was it.  It was.  I got a knife to cut it and M kept saying
take it, take it.  I did.  

I haven't had any yet.  If that's all of it, I'm sort of sorry I got grabby
... but it just sort of happened.  If it will keep in the mail I'll send a
slice to requests.  Don't wait too long.   [g]
 
dsh=> The Southwest bean salad was tasted by several folks -- all of whom
dsh-> were too full to eat any substantial part.  Shirley took that home.

About a gallon.  I like it, she loves it.

dsh-> There was a watermelon looking for a new home -- I think it went home
dsh-> with Donna.  

It did.  I talked her into it.  She has a household that can eat it up.

dsh-> Gail and I had an uneventful drive home (about 9 hours including a
dsh-> stop)

We spent 9 or 10 hours, going a scenic way.  I skipped Golf Tuesday.  I'm
still tired.
