It's exotic to us because it's not 
familiar. I love to see the desert 
when it blooms. Little explosions 
of color seemingly coming right out
of the ground! Tucson has several
really neat areas as well as Saguaro
National Park which is on both sides
of the city. Sabino Canyon is so very
interesting! Again for short visits I could
really enjoy it...dunno if I could be a
snowbird there though...although I have 
a lot of my co-workers at the ballpark who
do just that.

Exactly. Although if you get away from
the urban areas that are the most "popular"
there are still vast areas that are just like
"the olden days".
