Ärende: The Night of the Claw

I know Pacific spiney lobsters and thought at first that maybe 
I had misunderstood what was being offered, so I took a close
look as the subsequent lobsters tried out for the part and the 
no claw lobsters looked just like the one claw lobsters and they 
looked just like my two clawed lobster. In the afterward, I
reflected on what had really happened that night and I had
silly fantasies of the lobsters being kidnapped from some
lobster VA paraplegic ward to mussing about that unforgettable
cartoon of the legless frog with it's crestfallen expression
and begging cup, sliding out from behind the French restaurant 
kitchen's door. But my best guess is that there may be a 
secondary market in Maine lobster seconds at greatly reduced
price and that was what the Chinese restaurant was trying to
push. Nothing wrong with that, especially if everything is
upfront and the savings are shared with the customer. But to
covertly hold back some of the best parts and then disguise
the shortage by mixing the chunks together in a big pile is
theft and I can no longer trust those people. And think about
it, when you eat out, you are literally trusting the cook with
your life (not that we don't often put our lives on the line, 
like when we let a barber shave our necks with a straight 
razor, etc.).

Speaking of diving, during the early 60's I used to attend the 
monthly Bauer Brother's dive club meetings with a friend who 
was a diver. Do you remember those or their TV show?
