She was awfully clean for a wanderer.

She has a reliable food source, her own bed (yours) and a source of laps if
desired.

I used to have one that liked spaghetti; we used a meat sauce and she'd
clean the plate if we let her. Another one liked Doritos, probably for the
salt and crunch.  Cats do tend to like milk products, whether or not they
can digest them.

-> by letting him have one of his favorite treats, tomato paste, straight

Now that's strange. :-)  He may have liked the acid content, or just the
fact that it was in a can.  Cans mean food to some cats.
