Ours had French for a time but discontinued it before I started.  My
brother started it in 8th grade; when his class finished their 3rd year,
it was gone from the school.  Spanish had taken hold a few years before;
it was taught thru-out the school.  I had it in grades 3-8; enough hung
on to tangle with the German.

-> Fence Rail pattern if you want a 4" finished block. That size looks good
-> on small quilts.

 RH> Done that too.  Nine patch would work, come to think of it.

And Double 4 patch.  That's a big square alternating with a 4 patch of
the same size.  I did a scrappy quilt for Sarah last year using that
pattern--13 pink fabrics, 6 blue & 6 green.

I've several ideas kicking around. While I'm deciding, I'm cutting my
scrap box down into layer cakes, jelly rolls, charms, etc.

No, he's a non traditional student and this helps set him apart from the
kids. (G) There was a campus wide cook out Monday night; we went for a
bit.  I believe we're in the oldest student group on campus. The cook
out was choice of hamburger or hot dog, "chili", chips, and cookies.
Drinks were water or "tropical punch".  By the time we got there, there
was no ketchup so we had "chili" on our burgers.  Not the greatest of
meals but......................did get to talk with some folks from
church for a bit.

Very fast; that's why I do all my own cutting on a project.

I have too but this one was very willing to work with her school
schedule.  She started as a cashier but within 6 weeks was doing
customer relations.

It is interesting how the various states do/don't do taxes on food.

OTOH, I didn't have any brownies.

 RH> Bored can turn into trouble, especially if they let you into a fabric

No, I know the cash flow in this household.

 RH> The cheesecake might have managed it!

That was a seriously bad cheesecake.
