I've done the bacon-cheese Angus burger there. Had a coupon for fries and
medium drink if I bought any angus burger ... so, what they hey? I found it
fairly decent. Not as good as a Hardee's Thickburger, just as good (although
more expensive) than the offerings at Rally's/Checkers, better than a
Burger-King Angus burger and leagues ahead of anything that the local Wendy's
has on offer.

I especially did not like the pickles on my Angus burger. They were some
fancy-pants corrugated cut sickly yellow-green things with all the flavour of
bread & butter pickles. Not at all what is served on the Quarter Pounder or the
McDouble ... which taste as dill pickles on a hamburger should taste.

If I go back for an Angus burger at McDonald's I will ask that they dress it
with pickles from the regular burger line instead of the nasty things I got on
the first trip. Other than that it wasn't a bad deal and if there isn't a
Hardee's or Rally's around when the burger jones hits ..... 

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
  
      Title: Casey Jones One Dish Supper
 Categories: Beef, Bread, Mushrooms 
      Yield: 8 servings
 
    1/2 lb Frozen white bread dough;
        - thawed
  1 1/2 lb Lean ground beef
    1/4 c  Chopped onions
      4 oz Can sliced mushrooms;
           - drained
      8 oz Can tomato sauce
      2 tb Catsup
      1 ts Beef soup mix or beef
           - bouillon granules
    1/4 ts Oregano
    1/4 ts Thyme
    1/4 ts Basil
    1/4 ts Parsley
    1/8 ts Black pepper
      1 lg Egg beaten
           Bacon flavored bits
   
  Brown beef and onions in Dutch oven. Drain if necessary.
  Add next 9 ingredients. Cover, simmer 15 minutes. Remove
  from stove-top and cool to warm.

  Divide dough into 20 pieces and place on top of warm beef
  mixture. Cover with clean towel and let rise 30 minutes or
  until pieces of bread dough have doubled in size. Lightly
  brush dough with beaten egg. Sprinkle with bacon flavored
  bits. Bake uncovered at 375øF for 25-30 minutes.

  Makes 8 servings.

  (Remaining bread dough can be made into rolls.)
