What, the word "never" is too ambiguous for you? [g]  The only fast
food place that I like, Burger King, is in my overall Top 5.  With
the exception of breakfast and coffee, I don't like McDonalds; I have
no use for Wendy's; Arby's is just filth; we don't have Sonics or
Checkers, In and Outs, Jack In The Boxes (should the plural of that
be Jacks In The Box?) or Five Guys here.  (A Five Guys is supposed to
be opening soon right up the street from me, though - when it does,
I'll try it out and it might get on the list.)

DSh> What are your "top five" burger places?

In NO ORDER:

 - Cheeburger Cheeburger - They got on my list on the strength of
   the meal we had there with you and Gail. If their quality is
   consistent, I would eat there anytime. Wish there was one 
   around here.

 - Burger King.  I really like the taste of BK burgers (not including
   their "Angus" burgers - no fast food chain seems to be able to make
   an "Angus" burger without adulterating it, and a careful look at 
   their ingredient listings will prove it - that means BK, McD's, 
   Hardee's, etc. - every one of them pollutes their "Angus" patties.)
   But BK's Stackers, bacon-cheeseburgers, Burger Shots - I love them
   all.  Also, I'm a big fan of their creepy and disturbing mascot.

 - 99 - I have never had a bad burger at 99. Protip: when there's a 
   long wait to get in, tell the host(ess) you'd like to eat in the 
   bar.  Hardly ever a wait for that, and the service is often 
   faster.

 - Friendly's - Great burgers ever since they got cut loose from
   Hershey's and returned (mostly) to their ice-cream-and-burgers 
   roots.  Unfortunately, they're hit-or-miss for good service, and
   after a few years of being really great, the service in the local
   restaurants have been pretty crappy and we haven't been back for
   nearly six months.

 - Home.  I make a better burger than anywhere else, especially when
   I get my beef at Arnold's or Corona's Market (my neighborhood
   butcher.)

I tried the Angus because I like to try the new offerings by most of 
the fast food joints.  I'm rarely very happy with them.  I agree that
the Angus Third Pounder is better than the QP but still, that's
damning with faint praise. [g]

My standards aren't that high, really.  For example, I really like
Taco Bell (bearing in mind that I KNOW IT ISN'T MEXICAN.  I just
like it.)
