 Do the fish bite there once they hit the river?  Here they no longer 
 feed. They are mostly taken by foul hooking them, or immature salmon 
 not ready for spawning yet and just caught up in  the excitement.  
 Possible some steelhead going along to feed on eggs, Spawn bags take 
 them.
 
  ->  Jake and I seldom bring any home.  Just fun tricking them into 
 ->  bitting.  He became dedicated when he got a big pike on a jitterbug 
 ->  while bass fishing one evening and the fish bit the plug in half.  
 
 We bring Perch and Walley home.  We won't even keep a walleye over 
 about 18 inches as they get kinda chewy then.  We are picky fishermen.

 Maybe he will take me sometime.  For a 13 year old he sure has been 
 around.  California at Stanford last month for ten days, then another 
 10 days roaming the coast with his Mom.  She has a doctor friend who 
 does volunteer work in the Caribbean part time and has a house down 
 there in the Cayman Islands.  He lets her and Jake use it for a few 
 weeks at a time.  That's cool as he gets to hang out with local kids
 and learn about their lifestyle.  Much better than going on a cruise 
 or a vacation resort type thing. I wouldn't be surprised if they were 
 to tell me they intend to make that motorcycle trip I've always dreamed 
 about across the Swiss Alps next year.  :-) 
 
  ->  I made a sauce to put over them from a can of Campbell's cream of 
 ->  celery soup, undiluted after removing from the can, and tablespoon 
 ->  or more of dried dill weed.  That was pretty good because I remember 
 ->  it now.  Or is that a sign of aging, you know living in the past. :-)

 I can't bitch much.  The past was fun, and the future seems to be 
 kinda fun too, so far that is.

 Chuckle..  I take it you could sell them then.  Help pay for the 
 charter.
