Good, in that there's n lineer to worry about.  Bad if you get anything
in the pipe.  You can get screen caps for the top but you will still
have to make sure the creosote doesn't build up.

No, we've not gotten one yet.  We're looking for one that's more than 6"
around so we can do more than the taco size tortillas.  It does have to
be heavy so it will work well for flour ones.

Yes, but if you can't find the white corn, it'll work.

I think I saw some today but we were in a hurry & I didn't go over to
take a good look.

I've done that as well, usually using the microwave.

There should be a long message to you in this packet about sprouting
seeds.  I did it years ago (not recently) so wrote up some basic
information.  See how well it matches what Gail has found; this is from
the "been there, done that" school of research. (G)
