It's too bad I wasn't still in Atlanta.  There's a section of town called
"Little India" (it's in the Norcross suburb-a big industrial park full of small
computer businesses that sell lots of used/refurbished computers,
parts-anything you need, they have it) that would have been good for me to go
shopping for Manny in.  I was picking computers up for $20 at the low end at
times.  You'd be amazed at what gets tossed in the name of upgrades.

I remember in Austin, Texas, there is a "Goodwill Computer Store" (it's still
there too, right next to Hwy. 183) that sold nothing but used computers, parts
and software.  They had bins the size of the bulk food barrels in grocery
stores full of screws; you just had to wade through them to find what you
needed!

I live in a virutal wasteland now for any sort of good used computer parts;
it's eBay or a trip down to Atlanta...

For most of that, anything below 2gHz and around 512MB RAM (more if you're
using XP) should be sufficient.  My IBM Thinkpad T42 (1.6gHz, 1GB RAM) does
pretty much everything I want it to do-when I do audio editing, it can be a
little slow, but it has a 40GB HD that isn't the fastest thing in the world.

Thankfully, parts can be come by cheap these days for Thinkpads.  Just have to
get a better job to be able to indulge myself in these goodies! :)

And to try to be on-topic: I had spaghetti last night and the sauce (a store
brand) made me sick with a sour stomach.  It seems I've gotten to where I'm
extremely sensitive about anything with tomatoes in it due to the acidity.

      Title: Hot Spiced Cider
 Categories: Beverages, Fruits
      Yield: 16 Servings

      2 qt Apple Cider
    1/4 c  Sugar
     12 x  Whole Cloves
      6 x  Whole Allspice
      4 x  3" Cinnamon Sticks

   Combine the cider, sugar and spices in a large saucepan. Heat slowly
  to boiling. Boil 3-5 minutes. remove spices. Serve hot garnished with
  orange slices, lemon slices, or rings of unpared red apple with whole
  cloves forced through peel.
   16 servings. If desired, chill spiced cider and serve over ice cubes
  made from apple juice.
