That's an interesting question. Flattering, even.

Which reminds me of the discard box I saw once in Birmingham
(Alabama, not England) once - this is where you can abandon
knives, razors, screwdrivers, and so on if you really want to
catch your plane. This particular box, in addition to the above,
had a revolver in it as well as some other pretty peculiar stuff.
The one in Glasgow (Scotland, not Kentucky) had Bic pens and
children's toys. I think they're doing a major public service
by making the boxes transparent - an endless source of amusement.

Editorial stuff on the computer. Clients include Addison-Wesley,
Harvard Business School, Heinemann, Scholastic, and others of
that level of pretension, er, prestige.

To be specific to your recipe, I would dribble in the liquid
a little at a time, replacing only what evaporated out. In
order to remain true to the nature of the product envisioned
by the author, a bit of water might be needed, but not
nearly so much as suggested.

yield: 1 giant batch

2 Red Onions
2 Green Peppers
Hot Sauce, Tabasco
4 cn HernandezTM Salsa
6 Lemons
2 Avocados
2 Cucumbers
Shrimp
2 cn (16 oz) ContadinaTM Pear tomatoes
2 Fresh Red Peppers
Parsley
Roses Lime Juice
White Wine - Dry
French Bread
A Fresh Catch of a Variety of Rock Fish and or Scallops.

Slice fish into 1/4" thick pieces without the bones and
marinate them with lemon juice.

Add Roses lime juice and wine; allow to set while vegetables
are being chopped. When fish has turned white add vegetables
and other ingredients. Serve with bread.

M's notes: the wine is optional, and the dish may well be
better without it. I'd substitute fresh lime juice for the
bottled. The salsa called for is probably Herdez salsa
ranchera (made by Hormel, formerly made by the Hernandez
family), which comes in 7-oz cans. Which means 44 oz of
tomato products. If you want to make this dish from this
recipe, I hope you have a lot of fish.
