If we stayed within the American facilities exclusively, we wouldn't
have had to use metrics much.  But, I shopped on the economy a fair
amount so it was nice to know if 2 klos of apples at so many DM/k was a
better price than 4.5 pounds at so many $/lb at the commissary.  In
England, I got some fabric at a Laura Ashley store; they measured in
your choice of meters or yards per pound.  No brainer there, almost 4
more inches by the meter.

My mom used to have ice cube trays like that.

We were in the 40s last night and will be for another 5 days, at least.
Daytime temps are in the low to mid 50s, with cold rain for most of
them.

Almost every store (even ones like Home Depot and Lowe's) has their own
bag; Wal-Mart has 3, ranging from cheap, only good for a few uses to
best, a good sturdy one.

I know my parents don't--but they should.  Trouble is, they would have
to eat better than what they are doing now.

It's a different flavor, a light molasses might come close to a taste
you could identify with.
