Me neither, come to that.  I was an OK survival cook, but no great shakes.

More like "we'll keep your suggestion on file".  If they had enough letters
on hand they might figure out that they could make more money with the
stuff out of there.

I've heard of stores that sell outdated and label-free goods too, but never
seen one. I did however score a pound of brown sugar in a Salvation Army. 
No one knew how it got on the shelves, but there it was.  They threw it in
my bag because they couldn't sell it legally as far as anyone knew.
