I had not realized that there were so many types of oysters, or that
they could be so different.   I don't have them often, but do enjoy them
when I don't have to pay for each one.   At the opening reception on our
recent trip, they had an oyster bar.  It seemed to be about all the guy
could do to shuck fast enough to keep up with the demand.  I have a
picture which I'll be putting on photobucket soon, and will say more
about where we were when I get around to writing up a trip report.

BTW -- you had another missing message in this packet.  #413 did not
turn up here, although I did read it on Janis' BBS.  

Your message confirmed my suspicions about Finlandia's claim of
"Naturally Lactose-Free" as being an over statement of fact.

      1 lb Boneless beef sirloin steak
           (1 inch thick)
      1 ts Dried basil leaves
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Pepper
      2    Garlic cloves, crushed
      1 tb Oil
     29 oz Beef broth
     16 oz Jar Old El Paso Thick 'n
           Chunky Salsa or Picante
      1 lb Pkg. Green Giant American
           Mixtures Frozen
           Green Beans, Potatoes,
           Onions and Red Peppers
 15 1/2 oz Can Green Giant or Joan of
           Arc Great
           Northern Beans, drained,
           Rinsed
      1 c  Torn fresh spinach

           Fresh basil, parsley or
           Cilantro sprigs

  Cut beef into 1/4-inch-thick strips; cut each strip into 1-inch
  pieces. In medium bowl, combine beef, basil, salt, pepper, garlic and
  oil; toss to coat.
  
  Heat Dutch oven or large saucepan over medium-high heat until hot. Add
  beef mixture; cook and stir 4 to 5 minutes or until browned.
  
  Stir in broth, salsa and vegetables. Bring to a boil over medium-high
  heat. Reduce heat to low; simmer 10 minutes.
  
  Stir in beans. Cook 4 to 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Stir in
  spinach. Garnish each serving of soup with fresh basil.
  
  6 (1 1/2-cup) servings.
