Lowe's had some boneless chuck roasts the other day; a couple of them
jumped into my buggy.  One was made into sauerbraten last night, with
red cabbage and rice. (G)  The other was cut up for curry, Chinese
savory beef and stir fry.  There was enough sauerbraten and cabbage left
for 2 more meals. I'll probably make some noodles to go with it next
time.

-> Just as well; we've got to keep a few sets of lungs clear.  NC is going
-> smoke free in restaurants as of Jan 1; VA did on Dec 1--YIPPEE!

 RH> They did that here years ago, thankfully.

Gotta remember, NC and VA are big tobacco producing states so that
industry isn't too happy over the new laws.

We got a duck once while we were in HI, decided we got much more meat
for our money with a chicken or turkey.  We had Peking duck with some
friends at a Chinese place in Berlin; that was good.

They're staples around here.  I just buy more this time of year to make
fudge the easy way.

Major ouches there.  That (hernia) is one thing I don't have to worry
about.  OTOH, I do have scar tissue in various places.
