I thought I had been to one once but a little net research told me
that it is strictly an American chain. I was actually at a
Cheesecake Cafe which is Canadian and has just five branches
throughout Alberta so far. A look at the two web sites indicate that
the Canadian one is a knockoff of the American one with very similar
menus.

Ours had a standard, unimaginative menu for the appetizers and mains
that included some pretty good steaks but it had 40 kinds of
cheesecake (I am not fond of cheesecake or theme chains and only got
dragged there by relatives who were intimidated by the hole in the
wall ethnic places I had discovered through chowhound.com and
similar sites.) Overall it was pretty good food for the genre but
overpriced. And it's all about the desserts. I would go again but
only with a gift card or half price coupon. But that's my biases
showing again; Maura likes it and you and Gail might too.

     Title: Wokking Mum's Chicken With Honey
Categories: Singapore, Chicken
  Servings: 4

      2    Chicken fillet or breast,
           debone and cut into chunks
      1    Bell Pepper or 2 halves Bell
           Peppers of different colours
     12    Snow Peas 
      1 ts Garlic, minced 
           Oil for frying
           Cornflour Mixture
           (thickener) 
           MARINADE:
    1/2 TB Chinese Cooking Wine
      1 ts Light Soy Sauce 
      1 ts Sugar 
      1 TB Cornflour 
    1/3 TB Rice Flour
           SEASONING:
     50 ml Stock or Water
    1/2 TB Light Soy Sauce 
    1/3 TB Black Vinegar 
      1 TB Honey 

Marinade chicken for at least an hour. Deep-fry till they turned
golden brown and set aside. Heat oil. Stir fry snow peas and bell
pepper for 1 minute. Dish and set aside. Add garlic to the same wok
you use earlier. Stir fry till fragrant. Add seasoning except for
honey. When it start to boil, thicken with cornflour mixture. Add in
the cooked vegetable, chicken and honey. Mix well. Dish and serve.
