Waaaaaay back when, I used to visit at a Jewish friend's home from time to time
and often ate supper with the family, as Ralph would eat supper at our house
when he visited. Invariably, his mother would present me with a "to-go" of
supper leftovers with the admonition, "Take, eat. Enjoy! Enjoy!" 

Which is by way of explaining where the ENJOY! admonition in sig comes from.
Been doing that since I've been writing letters to people - either on paper or
electronically.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Leftover Beef Miroton
 Categories: Beef, Breads, Vegetables
      Yield: 5 Servings
 
      4 md Onions
      1 tb Fat (or butter)
      1 tb Flour
      2 tb Vinegar
    2/3 c  Bouillon
           +=OR=+
   1/3 c   Water
           +=WITH=+
   1/3 c   Tomato juice
           Salt & pepper
      1 lb Cooked beef; sliced thin
           - or in small cubes
           Bread crumbs
 
  Slice onions and brown in fat. Add flour and brown.
  Then add vinegar, bouillon or water and tomato juice.
  Cook together until slightly thickened, stirring
  constantly. Season with salt and pepper.

  Simmer sliced or cubed beef in sauce a few minutes.

  Pour all into baking dish, sprinkle with crumbs and
  bake in a hot oven (400øF) for 10 minutes.

A cooking term with which I was not familiar - so I went and looked it up:

Main Entry: miroton - Part of Speech: n - Definition: a French stew of sliced
cooked beef in a sauce flavored with onions

Example: Though there are several variations possible for a miroton (mushrooms,
tomatoes, garlic), the predominate flavor is always onions.
