Hi Ruth,

So much for global warming too.  But, yes, the houses don't seem to be
constructed to take into account that weather can get cold. We've had
frozen pipes for several mornings--thawed once it warmedd up, no beakage
but others have had broken pipes.  Not enough insulation in houses, not
much in the line of snow removal equipment.........

-> I'll probably do one next week.  Got a chicken to roast on Monday when I
-> did the last of the grocery shopping today.  Figured running the oven
-> might warm up the house a bit.

 RH> I've been using mine too.  Things that normally would go into the
 RH> crockpot go onto the stove, etc.

We used the microwave a lot our first few days back.  Now that the jet
lag is pretty well out of our systems, we're doing more real cooking.
Steve poached a salmon fillet for supper tonight.

-> We had a dusting of snow come thru Thursday night.  Right now it's clear

Not really except in the mountains where they get more snow than we do.
A lot of our snow removal on the roads is done by the use of chemicals
or salt.  DOT has some graders and trucks with plows on them but not too
many ae in this area.

 RH> Quite - one of the three smallest.

How does it compare to HI in size?

->  RH> I've heard of that, but I always knew I could do that.  French fry

-> SPF 50 sun screen?  I usually use 30 but don't stay out long enough to

 RH> Pretty much.  I usually do at least 30.  I can't tan so there's no
 RH> point in trying.

I try to keep out of it so I don't turn beet red either.  Grabbed the
sun screen a couple of days we were out and about to make sure I
wouldn't burn.
