-> Familiar greeting.  We were over there on New Year's Day which was not
-> celebrated over there like it is in other places we've been. Still,there
-> were a few holiday related issues--one place we were supposed to see was
-> closed.  It was also the Islamic holy day; the next day the Jewish

Still I'm sure you got to see a lot of
things that are significant for you!
When I was there, it was as a teen and 
to tell you the truth, while I enjoyed 
it, I was more interested in girls than
museums and such (grin).

-> It's a trip we had thought about over the years; several things factored
-> in to having this the right time to take the trip.  Finances, time
-> available, etc all worked together.  We came back to COLD! weather; it

I remember them well! Happily for us
when Amanda was small, Anne was a stay
at home mom, and when Amanda was older 
and Anne was back in College or teaching
I was home during the days for all those
times when Amanda wasn't in school.

They ALL taste way too sweet to me
nowadays. I prefer water most of the
time. The occasional beer or wine
but mostly water. Oh and tea and
coffee!
