I have the pain pills, but am loathe
to use them unless I am in significant 
pain. I can deal with moderate pain
fairly well, even long term. The knee
pain is intermittent so it's always a
bit of a surprise when it stabs in.

ANY change is a major adjustment for
most of us. We tend to like what we
like and don't enjoy giving it up.
I also picked up a book on a friend's
recommendation, it's called the GI
 diet, GI for Glycemic Index. I'll 
meld that with the south beach
philosophy and see how that works.
