Yes, and up there they are better prepared to deal with snow & ice than
here.  Snow days were figured into the school calendar too; if they
didn't use them all, we got an extra vacation day or 2.  Here, they
don't allow for hurricanes, snow, ice or anything like that so kids lose
vacation days and Saturdays.

We got off with a lot of rain on Friday and just flurries, nothing
sticking, yesterday.  But, it's only to be in the low 40s for highs
(normal is low 50s) and lows in the low to mid 20s (normal is in 30s)
this week, again.

Yes, but didn't need the stock up there.  Steve went over to Lowe's last
night for chicken noodle and other (non Campbell's, Lowe's organic)
soups.  Something that doesn't take too much effort to warm up or eat.
He's been the main cook the last couple of days; I'm not sure if this
cough is bronchitis or not at this stage.

We built snow families if we couldn't lift the balls one on top of
another.  Just added packed snow to the big (daddy) one and made the
medium & small into mom, and smaller ones for kids. (G)

And, you had fun doing it.  Ever have Jack's Wax?  That's where you boil
down to less than half, a gallon or so of maple syrup.  Then go out &
get a clean dish pan or big bowlful of clean, packed snow.  Come in,
drizzle the thick syrup on the snow, wait a few seconds to let it
harden.  Lift it off with a fork, pop it into your mouth and enjoy the
bliss.  Repeat until full.  Traditionally served with sour pickles.
