Hi Ruth!

Agreed! Last thing you need right now, that's for sure. This one was kind of
funny.. as I mentioned to Hap, my daughter's oldest decided that he didn't want
to be homeschooled any longer so this semester he started in the public
school.. which is great for him in that he is so far advanced compared to his
classmates.. except that learning at home and meeting with a few friends during
the week doesn't give you the same kind of exposure to colds and flus like the
schools do :) so of course he got the flu, and brought it home to his brothers
and mom and dad - and then they brought it over here.. oh well.. it's that time
of year.

Yes, we're always well stocked on teas.. Ron is a big fan of tea actually. I
like it also, but really prefer to start the day with plenty of coffee.

We lived there for only 7 years.. a drop in the hat, really.

Yes, it does.. or it's supposed to :) I think it will end up holding more, to
be honest, given the parts on my current dishwasher that you cannot block. On
each basket on my current dishwasher there is a spot where water passes that
you can't block with cups, or bowls, etc.. the new dishwasher avoids that.. You
sound like you run your dishwasher about like I do.. every couple of days..
unless I've been cooking something special, or if the kids were here for
dinner, etc.. when they come, I do have a full load (sometimes a few (g)).

That's neat - some of them can up there, is it a big one? and yes, new toys
for the weekend :)

Lol! but still a testament to your good pies :)

Sounds like my house when my sisters were married, etc.. they'd come by and say
hmm.. what's to eat today, c'mon we know you always have something good here!
:) I think that was when I'd just gotten the kitchenaid and of course I had to
experiment a lot :) :) Matter of fact, I remember making a twisted yeast bread,
with raisin, nut filling for my mom.. she brought it to work to share with her
co-workers and she told me that she had orders for 22 more of them, because
they wanted to buy one no matter what... I laughed so hard! And then I got to
work. I did that ONCE (g). That was enough for me :)

I bet :) Often I'll use bacon fat.. or pork fat if that's around or chicken
fat.. depends on what I have on hand. Most times though I guess I use olive
oil though for anything that isn't "pie" ..

Ok.. hope they go quick :)

Definitely true.. sometimes the hardest thing for me when things got bad over
here was just making myself slow down.. I knew I had to. But I didn't want
to... (grin). After a while though you realize that there isn't anything that
is really all that crital (smile).

I must have had it down to a science then.. it doesn't take that horribly
long.. lot's of cold running water though.. I mean it's obviously not as fast
as buying cleaned, but for me, it wasn't that long of a task. Right now,
though for you, I can see how it would be! Also, I don't work outside the house
either .. :) that can make a difference.

My dogs wouldn't have cared I'm pretty sure :) Not that I remember at least..
now when I'm baking, they both love to eat flour though.. but they don't like
fish especially :)
Take care,
Janis
