Owning a restaurant/cafe/diner is just a matter of money. Not of couth, talent
or cooking chops. As has been proven more often than not.
 
Charlie Parker's is built in a WWII surplus Quonset Hut ... and is not all that
big. Seats, maybe, 50 (packed to the rafters) and is open from 6 ayem til 2 pm.
Breakfast rush starts at 0600 and runs until 0900. Lunch crowd begins to build
at 1100 (meaning that the lunch special has to be ready to plate and serve) and
runs until about 1330. And here is ol' Superstar Guy trying to interpose
himself and his film crew into the midst of all this organised chaos while the
kitchen staff is trying to get orders out in a timely manner. A recipe for
short tempers and resultant disasters.

Had Bozo waited until things thinned out about 1:30 - or, until closing at 1400
things would have been much more relaxed and gone much smoother. Apparently,
though, Fizzlewitz wanted to finish up and get the hey out of Dodge and that's
all that mattered to him.
 
MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Charlie's Brownies
 Categories: Five, Oriental, Snacks, Seafood, Rice
      Yield: 12 servings

MMMMM-------------------------BROWNIES------------------------------
  1 1/4 c  Flour
      1 c  Brown sugar
      1 c  Sugar
      1 ts Baking powder
      1 ts Salt
      1 ts Vanilla
    1/2 c  Butter
    1/4 c  Shortening
      4 lg Eggs
      3 oz Baker's chocolate; 3 squares

MMMMM--------------------------ICING--------------------------------
      3 tb Butter
      3 tb Milk
      1 oz Baker's chocolate
  2 1/2 c  Powdered sugar

  Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Beat 1
  minute at medium speed. Pour into greased 9" x 13"
  pan.

  Bake at 350øF for 25 minutes. Cool in pan then cover
  with icing.

  ICING * Mix butter (melted) with chocolate and milk.
  Add powdered sugar slowly until mixture is smooth and
  thick. Spread on brownies carefully.

  Makes 24 brownies
