OK. Now it becomes somewhat more clear. Perhaps I missed it because even when I
was a SysOp running a BBS on a 300 baud modem and floppy drives I was never
niggardly over bandwidth and disk space.

Sneaker net (something I may go back to if I go back to using my Amiga) was the
act of carrying data on a floppy (or these days, maybe a USB thumb drive) and
using your sneakers (or brogans) to propel you to another confuser with the
software that needed that data.

You were close.

You are right. And, if you have noticed I have been "doing a Burton" for some
time. That's why most of the recipes I post are from recipesource.com - as I
can do a search on a key word and come up with a recipe that uses that word in
the title. Of course sometime I combine "doing a Burton" with "doing a Dave"
and get subtle and obscure in my referents. Sometimes too subtle and obscure. 

Hopefully you don't mind me stealing your thunder on both those issues.

I still find some of those on recipesource.com and have to re-edit them into
something more easily readable. This includes (but is not limited to) adding
spaces after commas and other punctuation, breaking the directions into
paragraphs, and my personal bug-a-boo, correcting capitalisations in recipes
that have the first letter of every word capitalised ... for whatever reason.

There are even recipes in there with "Burton" attributes - but, none of yours.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
  
       Title: Aloha Chicken
  Categories: Poultry, Rice, Fruits
       Yield: 6 servings
  
   2 1/2 lb Chicken pieces; skinned
       2    Chicken Bouillon cubes
       1 tb Butter
       1 c  Green bell pepper; diced
       1 c  Radishes; thinly sliced
       1 c  Unsweetened pineapple chunks
            - canned
     1/2 c  Juice from pineapple
       1 ts Light soy sauce
       2 tb Flour
            Pepper;
   4 1/2 c  Cooked rice
            Chow mein noodles; opt
  
  Simmer the chicken in water with bouillon cubes. Remove meat
  from bones and cut into chunks. Save 1 cup of chicken broth.

  While chicken is cooking, melt butter in frying pan or wok
  and saute the radishes, green peppers, and pineapple until
  crisp tender, but not brown. (Put rice on to cook.) Mix 1
  cup saved chicken broth with 1/2 cup pineapple juice and 1
  tsp. soy sauce. Add to pan.
   
  Mix flour with 1 Tb. cold water and stir to remove lumps.
  Add to vegetables. Add cut up chicken and a dash of pepper,
  and cook until everything is hot. Serve over rice. If
  desired, sprinkle chow mein noodles on top.

  Serves 6. (Portion is 3/4 cup mixture served over 3/4 cup
  cooked rice.)
