dd-> OK. Now it becomes somewhat more clear. Perhaps I missed it because

BF> Good for you. One of the local sysops was very vocal about few spaces

dd-> Sneaker net (something I may go back to if I go back to using my
dd> Amiga) was the act of carrying data on a floppy (or these days, maybe a
dd> USB thumb drive) and using your sneakers (or brogans) to propel you to
dd> another confuser with the software that needed that data.

BF> That's the part I've forgotten... why the floppy had to be used to
BF> carry data from one computer to another. Why would you have to go
BF> sneaker net if you go back to your Amiga?

Mostly because my Amiga(s) (I have several) do not do broadband well, and
Ethernet networking in painful in extremis to set-up ... and none of the BBSes
I use are local (even if they have dial-up nodes). I suppose I could dial into
my local AT&T dial-up node and telnet out that way - if I wanted to run another
phone line back to where the Miggy's are located. And if I wanted to dig up a
stand alone dial-up modem.

It's easier to download what I need on either Linux or Winders boxes and hike
over to the appropriate Amiga with a floppy containing the data.

Title: Chilean Küchen De Mi Amiga Kako
 Categories: Cakes, Desserts, Fruits
      Yield: 12 servings

MMMMM----------------------KÜCHEN DOUGH----------------------------
    100 g Butter
    3/4 c Sugar
      2 lg Eggs
  1 1/2 c Flour
      2 ts Baking powder
Milk; as needed make a soft
           - dough

MMMMM-------------------------FILLING------------------------------
   300 g Different berries
     2 c Whole milk
   1/2 c Sugar
          Liquid vanilla
     2 Egg yolks
     1 tb Flour
     1 tb Cornstarch
          Cold milk

Beat the butter until is creamy add the sugar and mix well.

Add the eggs and mix well.

Add the flour with the baking powder and a little milk, the
batter will be creamy and thick.

  Preheat the oven yo 180°C.

Place the batter in the spring pan greased and bake 15
minutes. I used a spring-form pan about 20 cm. diameter

  Let chill and reserve.

  FILLING:

Heat the milk with the sugar, don't boil, only heat, until
the sugar is dissolved. Take off the fire and set aside.

Dissolve the flour and the cornstarch with 1/2 cup of cold
  milk.

In a bowl, spoon the milk with sugar to the cornstarch and
  flour mix, slowly.

Then place all the batter in a pot and heat to medium fire,
stirring constantly. When it boils cut the fire immediately.

  Beat in liquid vanilla.

The batter will be more thick later.

Place the berries over the kuchen dough (still with the
  spring pan)

If you like add some sugar over the berries. And then empty
the vanilla cream over the berries/fruits.

Preheat the oven at 180°C again and place the kuchen inside.

Let sit 20 minutes or until the cream looks firm.

Let chill for 1 hour and don't de-mold until is cold.

You may keep in the fridge for 1 hour more.
