Hi Ruth,

The bed is maybe 3' by 4' & had something else in besides the spearmint
last year.  If we get to it before temperatures warm up, we should be
able to get the worst of it out. But, in the 28 days of February, we
only had 2 days that were normal or above, all others were (mostly) a
good way below.

I probably got some of that indoctrination too--but it's been so long
since I left home, I do things my way now.  Makes more sense for us to
toss a paper cup than to wash a bowl, especially since it takes so long
to get hot water from the tank to the kitchen.  They're opposite ends of
the house; we'd be running several gallons down the drain waiting for
the hot to get to where it was needed.

In this case, Robert thought that kitty was the meat in the stew & had
to reassure himself that it wasn't.

No, I really didn't use a lot of seasoning.  Just s&p plus some powdered
vegetable broth & what was on the chicken.  Steve added heat but I let
mine as it was.  Should have reduced the salt a bit but otherwise, good.
