=============================
Hi Carol,

 > Actually, I think that one will work better for us. We would leave out
 > on Sunday tho to get Steve back for a class if he decides to take one
 > that session (summer school).

CS> Might not have to leave Sunday. Monday is Memorial day. I do however
CS> have to work Tuesday (1 June).

As things stand now, Steve is not planning on taking Summer Sessions.
Between all the other plans we have, it just doesn't seem to want to
work for him to try to get any more classes in. Next year may be
different,

 > CS> contract (Created because I am so damn efficient they have had to use
 > CS> the programer main guys almost not at all as i find solutions on my
 > CS> own pretty well and code them).

 > All those years in the Navy paying off now? (G)

CS> Sure is! The kids they hire today arent used to 'making do' or 'find
CS> a way' and the previous holders of my job though no slackers, had to
CS> use the company programmers to make things happen much more than i
 CS> have.

Sounds like it wouldn't hurt for the kids to do a hitch in the military.
(G) One year we were just at the point of Steve's retirement ceremony.
Pack out was a couple of weeks later, leaving Savannah on April 14.

CS> I was asked if i wanted overtime or travel. I told'em leave it to my
CS> bosses as both suit the needs. Travel seems to be the one they elect
CS> as mst bang for the buck.

Besides that, you get to try some new foods, retry some you've not had
in years. If you go to Oahu, I can recommend some places to eat that
may not have been there when you were stationed there.

 > CS> That excess money now means the HeadQuarters I work for gets to send
 > CS> me for 'free' on travel to various spots. I have to keep the 1st
 > CS> weekend in June open for a possible Hawaii trip (hehehehe!).
 CS> >
 > You poor thing! (G) Can I come along and visit friends?

CS> Hehehe working vacation. Alternate is will be in San Diego in April
CS> or Bangor come early May.

What's your 2nd choice? I know HI is your first. (G)

 > CS> June, we get hurricanes and too late (post hurricane) we are too cold
 > CS> for a must be outside party.

 > That'll work for us. Shouldn't be too awfully hot yet either.

CS> Nope! Thats fan weather at most usually here. Jim Weller would be
CS> the one sitting under the fan. The rest of us wouldnt care or may
 CS> want a light jacket.

Today was light jacket weather, tomorrow is supposed to be the same.
Colder on Friday thru the week end, with the possibilty of frost Friday
night.

 > We'll drive; without doing Google Maps or anything like that, I'd say
 > it's maybe a 4-5 (counting in breaks) trip.

CS> Yup. Same for Dale and Gail. Sean and Maura too? (where is he now?)
CS> 8-10 hours for Janis by car.

Counting breaks, it was about a 9 hour trip to PA, same, back this past
week end. Upcoming trip is about 12 hours straight but we'll do it over
a couple of days.

 > Fresh seafood available at a reasonable cost? Does Charlotte want me to
 > make another batch of meat balls? (G)

CS> Fresh seafood everywhere just like where you are. Meatballs! Yes!

We're inland now, not the coast. It's about 2-3 hours for fresh, on the
coast seafood. Meatballs--see the earlier suggestion.

CS> I did some more BnB searches for you guys and while we have some
CS> really good ones, I dunno if you want the 190-220$ a night rates I was
 CS> able to find.

It'll be a reasonably prices hotel for us. The idea of a B&B is nice
but the budget is vetoing it.

Catch you later,
