Yes, then they will be happy to sub for you.  In turn, you (the teacher)
get more detailed (without sounding whiney) reports on how the kids
behaved.

I had one school, same building K-12 but a portable for one class, one
semester of my senior year. Rachel & Deborah both doubled that in
kindergarten.

OK, I thought it was one of those instances where her job time increased
while yours stayed steady.  I know your post office hours made it beter
for taking on some of the jobs; I didn't realise that cooking was yours
from the get go.  We've friends in HI who, when they got married, were
both teachers and both had a child from a previous marriage, still of
elementary school age.  The agreement was that one would cook; the other
would help with homework.  He cooked; he also retired a few years ago
and kept on with the cooking job, even tho all kids were out of school.
She retired last year, don't know if she's doing any of the cooking now.

Having active parental involvement makes a huge difference toward a kid
being educable or not.

Ours is Tricare for retired military, basically.  The VA handles Steve's
special needs; mine are done thru UNC-CH.

The latter is the most important factor there.
