Toss all that?????? I'd sooner toss my
K&E sliderule!!! And the quality of lenses
on the smaller cameras as compared to mine
is no comparison at all. I have carbon fiber 
tripods that are lightweight and sturdy, but
still collapse down to a small size...but I still
also have a beast of an old thing that is about
as heavy as a dinosaur! (grin). Nope not about
to give up my gear...even though with my knee
problems I can't lug it around very well anymore.

I have an aquaintence who does that now, with
Civil War Reenactors...he has a "wagon" that he 
takes to these gatherings and sets up and does
"old time Photos". I also understand that lately
he has begun to do Tintypes as well, but I have 
not seen or spoken to him in several years so I
don't have any knowledge of whether he is really
doing that  or not.

High resolution is a subjective term (grin).
