I'll have to stay for a while, hydrating, as not only has the state
record been broken, but Adelaide now has the all time Australian
capital city record heat wave of 11 days over 35C.  The weather is
expected to continue, slightly hotter, with maximums of 40C (104F)
expected for the next few days.  After my usual 3 km walk today I was
quite exhausted. Dunno why.

I haven't seen that.  Looks interesting.

Something I can't imagine.  Wouldn't the syrup be unfreezable at
ordinary freezer temperatures?  Canned peaches in syrup would be far
easier to obtain and use.  That could be good.
