It is; we bought 2 racks of pork baby back ribs last week.  One will be
done on the grill; the other, in the crockpot.

Sounds like a good idea to me too. But if it's really messy (sloppy),
I'd appreciate seeing it so  a not to make a big mess all over the
place.

Saw that with the newspaper my Dad worked for as well.  Original owner
ran it really well, knew his stuff.  He died, son took over top position
after working for dad all his life.  Some slippage, got more pronounced
over the years as he battled some major health issues.  Finally, he
turned things over to his son who'd not worked there all his life & had
no idea how to run a newspaper.  Meanwhile, my dad kept trying to keep
the quality of the paper same as when the old man had it but was
fighting a loosing battle.  Finally, things came to a head--Dad knew he
was right, 3rd generation was wrong but insisting on having his way. Dad
said "I quit" just before 3rd Gen said "You're fired".  Local community
suported my dad; sadly, he lost what little retirement benefits he would
have had from them.  That was almost 30 years ago; they're on speaking
terms now but the paper is seriously lousy.  I doubt if 4th Generation
will have anything to inherit.
