Some, but not so much.. perhaps when my parents when to Northern Italy. They
cook with a lot of cream there.  Grandma (Dad's mom) went to Sicily and found
out the story her mother had told her about being related to a Count there was
true, though. She found all the records and that must have been really great.

It doesn't bother me so much, really.  If it happens that will be good though

For me, it doesn't really make much of a difference.  The electric one is nice
because you can set the temperature and know that it won't vary, though. Less
eyeballing and testing the temp with a thermometer.  That is handy when you are
filling it with oil and want to keep the temperature at one setting.

We love corn on the cob as well - haven't cooked it in the microwave though.
One of these days I may try it.  Oh, wait I did cook some frozen ears in the
microwave, they were a bit disappointing as well.. We usually do it on the
stove though for just a short while.  My father-in-law used to be the 'corn on
the cob' expert though :)  He loved boiling it in milk.. I never seemed to have
enough on hand to do that though (bg).

Hmm.. ask the clerk there .... maybe it's hidden off in a corner because most
people eat white rice - Especially arborio.

I used to take them outside in their playpen when they were much smaller so I
could do things like gardening.  I remember even taking my son with me
backstage in his carriage so he would sleep during rehearsals (g).

So far so good for us.. the horrid 90+ degrees are mostly gone.  We're getting
high eighties though so it's nice going out early to work on the garden.  After
the morning is past though, I have to wait until around 5 or 6pm to do anything
else outside :)
