OK, I thought you were talking about a September or October time frame.
My younger brother and sister went to Paul Smith's College up in Saranac
Lake.  My mom was half afraid that there would be a snow storm and they
wouldn't be able to make it out for or back to school the week end Steve
and I got married (Sept. 20).  All went well but I guess they had a
storm a couple weeks later from what was said afterward.

Stetching your luck some years.  That's when the lack of electricity
doesn't bother you so you can still cook and stay relatively warm.

I can imagine. We had a pretty fall this past year; nicest one we've
seen since we were stationed in MA fall of 92.

Understood!  As Steve mentioned, we'll be in school again after mid
August so the end of July is about the latest we could figure on a
picnic.  Carol's worked out nice; Steve finished his last exam on
Wednesday and we took off on Thursday. It was a fun way to transition
out of the school year.

Stop at the local grocery store for supplies, bring warm blankets and
