I was checked out thoroughly last year.  The place I went to doesn't do eyewear
prescriptions, only $urgury.  They said "not needed", and the health insurance
won't pay unless it's required.  I got the checkout because the previous time I
got an eye exam, for glasses, the Doc said it looked like I might be developing
cataract(s).  I was thinking I might need new prescriptions and thought I'd
better get that checked first, but the second group did say the prescription I
have is correct, even if they don't give prescriptions.  I definitely need
glasses for reading.  However my distance eyesight is still good enough that I
don't require them for driving, per the DMV who just reissued my license which
is good for another 5 years.  All in all I have 3 sets of glasses.  1-Standard
clear lens bifocal, 2-Shaded/polarized bifocal, and 3-A monofocal pair for
reading things at a distance of 30" (the computer monitor, worked all day long
staring at a monitor, wore these a lot!)

We seem to have your bunnies this year.  Even have an abundance of domestics,
as
reported in the paper, running free here in town trashing vegetable gardens
(and
the people ARE NOT HAPPY!)  Out in the weeds they're all over the place, a
combination of snowshoe and what appear to be cottontails.  Moose cows running
around with calves, and bears to feed on them all.  Didn't see the bears but
was
told that they'd been seen around the area where we park our RV.  River has a
small run of Kings (Chinook, spawning) and a larger run of Reds (Sockeye,
headed
for the Russian River to spawn).

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

      Title: Bunny's Potato Soup
 Categories: Vegetables, Soups
      Yield: 1 servings

      6 md Potatoes; peeled/diced
      4 sl Bacon, cooked crisp; crumble
      2 md Stalks celery; peeled/diced
      2 sm Carrots; peeled/diced
    1/2 md Onion; peeled/diced
           Parsley flakes (generous spr
      2 c  2% milk; scalded
           Pepper to taste

  Recipe by: Marjorie "Bunny" Scofield
  Place all ingredients in pot, except milk and pepper. Bring to boil,
  reduce heat and simmer uncovered 30 - 40 minutes, or until vegetables
  are tender. Add scalded milk and pepper to taste. Heat for a few
  minutes more; adjust seasoning and serve.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

      Title: Chicken-Fried Rabbit with Cream Gravy - Llbgfc
 Categories: Main, Game, Rabbit, Indiana, Fried
      Yield: 4 Servings

      2 ea Cottontail rabbits; cut into
           -serving pieces
      4 tb Flour
           Salt & freshly ground pepper
      5 tb Lard; for starters
      2 tb Flour
    3/4 c  Milk
    1/2 c  Heavy cream

     Shake the rabbit in a paper bag with the flour, salt, and pepper.
  Pick a heavy skillet (which some lid will fit) that, crowded, will
  just hold the rabbit pieces. Melt the lard in it until hot, then turn
  heat to medium, crowd in the rabbit pieces, and for the next 10 to 20
  minutes stand over the skillet, turning and adjusting the pieces
  until all sides are golden brown.

     As you brown the pieces, their floured surfaces may absorb enough
  fat to require more lard; add as needed.

     Now, turn heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 12
  minutes or so. Turn the pieces, if need be, during this process.

     Turn heat to medium or medium high, remove lid, and turning the
  pieces when needed, evaporate the moisture for another 10 minutes or
  so.

     Remove rabbit to a hot platter, pour off all but 3 tablespoon or
  so of fat, stir the flour into the fat and "greables" (or dredgings)
  and cook over low heat for 2 minutes or so.

     Off heat, stir in the milk, then back on low heat cook until it
  starts to thicken. Stir in the cream and continue to heat but do not
  boil.

     For a variation, stir in with the cream 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
  and 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan.
