I understand now.  Looks like late June/early July are committed for us
for next summer.  Any time after the end of May until then, and after
until early-ish August would work for us.

OK, you said Adirondacks and my first thought was of Saranac Lake.

Well, you were rather much isolated from everybody else. (G) Taught you
how to cook in less than "normal" surroundings.  Both Seve's family and
mine camped (tents) when we were younger so we were comfortable doing
that when we were younger.  No cooking over the fire but propane camp
stoves aren't the fanciest................

I see.  One year in HI we were supposed to go camping with friends over
Thanksgiving.  I got pneumonia so we couldn't go but for the day. Steve
smoked a turkey (at the campground); others did sides.  It was one of
the more memorable Thanksgivings we've had.

All the odds and ends to be taken care of. Steve's folks have a basement
apartment in NY; the first summer they stayed there, they didn't do an
adequate job of mouse proofing before going back to  Florida for the
winter.  They've done a proper job every year since. (G)

Smartest idea in the long run.
