Cotton or otherwise?  I'd go for the former, latter depends on what it
is as to if I'd take it or not.  As for new stuff coming into the
house--when it's used, the scrap will be properly taken care of (cut
down as appropriate).


-> weather cools off.  I'm still catching up from the trip in other areas
-> tho.  We were given about 5 1/2 pounds of red plums in PA on Tuesday

 RH> OOH!  Lucky stiff.

-> (traveled in our cooler, stayed in the Shipps fridge while we were
-> there).  Saturday afternoon I made 11 half pints plus a taster of plum
-> preserves. Looks pretty in the jars and will taste good this winter.

 RH> It'll be good in yogurt too.

And other things.  Took more time to prep it than to make the preserves.
I had to pit them (used my cherry pitter to give them a start), then
chop them up (food processor time) before cooking them.  Steve ladeled
them into jars; I sealed them, passed them back to him and he put them
into the boiling water bath.  100$% success rate--again.

-> I can understand; I've been trying to keep cool. Steve was out for a bit
-> and brought home Sonic strawberry slushies.  That helps. (G)

 RH> It couldn't hurt.  There were coupons for free McDonald's smoothies in
 RH> Sunday's Paper in the USA Today magazine.

He hit Sonic during Happy Hour--2 for 1 on drinks between the hours of 2
& 4.  We get Parade, not USA Weekend so I missed it anyway.

-> Ours is in a box, I think in the buffet. It's a German set with the

-> corn holders are in the flatware drawer in the kitchen island.

We got it at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA when Steve
was a student there.  Our bbq tools are in a case in the buffet as well
so we have to be sure we grab the right thing. (G)
