Turning us back to the eternal discussion of "what is music?" -
one with no satisfactory resolution.

I didn't listen to much Sun Ra but found what I did hear less
out there and challenging as Ornette Coleman's music.

 -> The Wal-Mart in south Rogers, Arkansas has sangria-flavored soda.
 -> If I'd seen it a day earlier, I might have tried it, but I had a
 -> plane to catch. This opposed to the Wal-Mart on Walnut St. in
 -> Rogers, which is Wal-Mart #1.

PAPAS PASTORES
cat: side
serves: 4

2 Tb extra virgin olive oil
1 lb very small new potatoes, rinsed and dried
salt to taste
1/3 c finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
3 Serrano chilies, minced, or more
1/2 c loosely packed, roughly chopped cilantro
3 Tb fresh lime juice

Heat oil in a heavy skillet. Add potatoes, sprinkle
with salt, and fry, stirring from time to time, for
6-8 min, until skins begin to wrinkle and brown. Add
onion, garlic, and chilies, reduce heat to medium-low
and fry for 3 min longer. Add cilantro and lime juice,
and fry for 1 min. Add 1 c water, cover pan, and cook
over very low heat until almost all the liquid has
been absorbed and the potatoes are tender, another
20 min or so. Add additional water during cooking as
needed. The potatoes should be moist but not soupy.
Season to taste with additional chilies and salt, if
desired.
