And of course they also know you, which would count for something.
OTOH, some visitors from South would be reluctant to withdraw lots of
$$$ and wave them around while tucking them onto his/her wallet, under
the beady eyes of the lobby resident.

That sounds as if the YK laws have been deliberately designed to cater
for the requirements of the itinerants.  Is there a Salvation Army
centre for homeless people?  (I can understand those who have a close
relationship with a bottle being reluctant to use the Salvo's beds.)

 Categories: Appetisers, Newsgroups, May.rec
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      1    Eggplant
           ;boiled tender, chopped
      1    Onion
           ;minced
      1    Tomato
           ;chopped
    1/2 c  Celery
           ;chopped
      1    Clove garlic
           ;minced
      1 ts Sugar
      2 tb Vinegar
      3 tb Olive oil
           Salt and pepper
 
  Mix all ingredients.  Chill.  Serve on party rye bread.
