Where animals are raised in high population density communities the
Golden Staph would be a danger.  I had better stick to eating game meat
from the Wild Oz butcher shop.  (Tucking into a lovely 'roo lasagne.)

There are, in fact, bacteria which have evolved to live on substances
which would be very toxic or non-sustaining to most carbon-based forms
of life, such as hydrogen sulphide, sulphur dioxide, and even metallic
iron, so it is not surprising that some can live on antibiotics which
have been developed to kill different kinds of bacteria.

 JW> killing 19,000 people in the United States in 2005.

It is interesting to read that, in conjunction with observations that
the earth is over-populated and the present profligate life-style is
non-sustainable.  I wonder what form of life will become predominant on
Earth after humans have joined the mammoths and sabre-toothed tigers in
extinction; cockroaches perhaps?

      Title: Hog Heaven In Sauerkraut
 Categories: Fix me
      Yield: 4 servings
 
           Pork loin chops
           2 TB olive oil
      1 cn Sauerkraut
           -water
 
  My apologies to Miss Piggy for including this classic European dish,
  but it's so easy and delicious I couldn't possibly leave it out.
  
  Method: Remove excess fat from chops. Heat oil in a large frying pan
  and brown pork on both sides. Drain off fat and spread sauerkraut
  over the pork (some cans may be dry - if so, add a little water).
  Cover pan and simmer gently for about 45 minutes, or until meat
  begins to fall off the bone, or your bathwater gets cold, whichever
  comes first.
  
  Presentation: You don't want to interfere with the subtle flavours,
  so no throwing greenery on top. However, because this dish is bland
  in colour, I suggest you serve it with bright vegetables such as
  steamed green beans sprinkled with lemon juice.
  
  ~ A cautionary word: I should advise these ingredients might produce a
  combination of noxious gases - my secret weapon at Thursday night
  tennis for years.
