LOL! Well, now that we are back, we are reminded of the fact that we really
DO have a large kitchen, but it's poorly designed for counter space. It
would have been fine for the 1960's when it was built, but folks have more
gadgets now.

Once we get unburied from the bills to fix the renters damage, we really want
to look at a kitchen remodel. I love the dark wood look we have, in a sort
of rustic pattern, but the storage and counterspace is not optimal. I've
thought of a 'center island' but it would need to double as a small 'kitchen
table' for resale value and be movable or the other blank wall section (about
6ft long) has to have counter space and electric run for appliances plus
above and below cabinets for more storage of pots and pans etc.

I'm thinking with our particular design (door to garage, lines for the gas
stove, dishwasher and sink, and a 6 ft patio door plus a matching 5ft or so
opening to the living room) then best option is the appliance 'counter' with
lots of outlets along the 8ft or so stretch that is 'empty' (filled now with
a clothes wardrobe with shoe hangers holding pots and such, and a china
cabinet).

I've heard of woodchucks but am not sure what they really are. Sort of
squirrel? Sorry if I seem dumb :-0

Mine were always indoor kitties since Bobby he Bobcat. Now Bobby? He'd have
made lunch of'em.

Hehe so thats what happened to the tulips! I was wondering! Rabbits eat the
bulbs? The Japanese Iris seem to be gone too as well as the tiger lilly.

Heheh lawnmowers keep it in bounds too.

Yeah, thats our thoughts.
