I just checked my pantry. In descending price and quality:
 
-1-President's Choice "Over 50% Fruit" pure raspberry jam:
raspberries, cane sugar, lemon juice, fruit pectin. Made in Canada
for Loblaws/Sunfresh/Westfair foods.

-2- Golden Valley "All Fruit" blueberry spread by E.D. Smith, made
in Canada: concentrated grape and/or apple juice, blueberries,
pineapple and/or lemon juice, fruit pectin.

-3- E.D. Smith "Triple Fruits" Apricot with Peach and Passion Fruit
with "1/3 more fruit and 1/3 less sugar than our regular jam", made
in Canada: apricots, peaches, passion fruit, cane and/or beet sugar,
water, fruit pectin, locust bean gum, citric acid, abscorbic acid
(vitamin C), sodium benzoate.

-4-Loblaws "No Name" grape jam: glucose, glucose-fructose, grape
puree, pectin, citric acid, sodium benzoate. Doesn't state where it
it made. (I subsequently stirred lemon juice into it which improved
it.)

So only the cheapest generic crap is over 50% sugar and it is also
the only one with "glucose-fructose" which can be a codeword for
HFCS. 

Canadian government definition: "glucose-fructose: glucose syrups and
isomerized glucose syrups, singly or in combination, where the
fructose fraction does not exceed 60 percent of the sweetener on a
dry basis".

So Canada is relatively free of the odious stuff and it is easily
avoided. And the PC raspberry is pretty damned close to homemade in
content and taste.

      Title: Lo-Fat Plum-Perfect Chicken Stir-Fry
 Categories: Chicken, Low-fat, Chinesque
      Yield: 1 Servings
 
      1    skinless boneless chicken
           breast half or turkey breast
           tenderloin steak (3 ounces)
    1/2 c  fresh pea pods or
    1/4    of a 6 ounce package
           frozen pea pods; thawed
      1 TB red plum jam or
           currant jelly
      2 ts vinegar
      2 ts reduced-sodium soy sauce
    1/2 ts cornstarch
    1/4 ts grated gingerroot or
           dash ground ginger
           nonstick spray coating
      2    thin slices onion
           separated into rings
      1 ts cooking oil
      1    plum pitted and cut into
           wedges or
    1/2    of a pear; sliced
      1 TB raisins
    1/2 c  cooked rice
  
  Rinse chicken or turkey; pat dry. Cut into thin bite-size pieces.
  Slice pea pods in half. Combine jam, vinegar, soy sauce,
  cornstarch, and gingerroot; set aside.
  
  Spray a cold medium skillet with nonstick coating. Heat over
  medium heat. Add onion; stir-fry 2 minutes. Add fresh pea pods, if
  using. Stir-fry 1 minute or till crisp-tender; remove from
  skillet.
  
  Add chicken to skillet. (Add 1 teaspoon cooking oil, if
  necessary.) Stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes or till no pink remains. Push
  chicken from center of skillet. Stir sauce; add to center of
  skillet. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
  
  Return cooked vegetables to skillet, stirring to mix. Add plum or
  pear, raisins, and thawed pea pods (if using) to skillet. Stir all
  ingredients together to coat with sauce. Cook and stir 1 minute
  more or till heated through. Serve immediately over hot co
  
  Makes 1 serving.
  
  Nutrition facts per serving: 416 cal., 9 g total fat (1 g sat.
  fat). 45 mg cholesterol, 401 mg sodium, 65 g carbohydrate., 5 g
  dietary fiber, 23 g pro. Daily Value: 87% vitamin. C, 25% iron.
