The guy who owns my favourite steak house fell in love with Neekha
when she was three and she told him, "your chicken fingers are much
better than McNuggets.... but then you are a _real_ cook and you use
_real_ chicken." She is also his only regular customer under 21. He
still comps her a Shirley Temple, an appetizer or a dessert
every time she goes there.

I have no argument about the beef patty or the cheese but the bun
sucks, quality wise. And it has as lot more things in it than my
handmade buns.

"Regular Bun: Enriched flour (bleached wheat flour, malted barley
flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic
acid), water, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, yeast, partially
hydrogenated soybean oil, soybean oil, canola oil, contains 2% or
less of each of the following: salt, wheat gluten, calcium sulfate,
soy flour, ammonium sulfate, calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate,
monocalcium phosphate, ammonium chloride, baking soda, sorbic acid,
deactivated dry yeast, dough conditioners (may contain one or more
the following: distilled monoglycerides, DATEM, sodium stearoyl
lactylate, calcium peroxide, ascorbic acid, azodicarbonamide, mono-
and diglycerides, enzymes, guar gum), calcium propionate & sodium
propionate (preservatives), soy lecithin."

My buns are made with unbleached, enriched white flour, water, pure
unhydrogenated vegetable oil (ingredients: canola oil, that's it, no
additives), pure honey, salt and yeast, period.

It may be non-toxic in itself but I remained concerned about the
large amounts and total number of additives in processed food and
their possible interreactions. Nobody can test all the combinations
and permutations of all the approved additives en masse. Perhaps I'm
paranoid but I prefer to eat less processed stuff as much as I can.

      Title: Pasta with Smoked Salmon, Gin & Tomatoes
 Categories: Shellfish, Smoked, Salmon
      Yield: 2 Servings
 
      2 tb Margarine or butter;
           divided
      2    Green onions; finely
           chopped
      1 lg Clove garlic; finely
           chopped
      1 lg Tomato; peeled and
           chopped
      2 tb Gin or vodka
      salt and ground black pepper
  1 1/2 c  water
    1/2 c  milk
      1 pk Noodles & Sauce--Alfredo
      flavor
      2 oz smoked salmon; cut in thin
      strips
      1 TB finely chopped fresh
      parsley
  
  In 10 inch skillet, melt 1 tablespoon margarine.  Add green onions
  and garlic; cook over medium heat 1 minute or until onions are
  tender. Stir in tomato; cook over high heat, stirring
  occasionally, 2 minutes. Stir in gin; cook 2 minutes or until
  slightly thickened. Stir in salt and pepper.
  
  In medium saucepan, bring water, milk and remaining 1 tablespoon
  margarine to a boil. Stir in noodles and sauce Alfredo. Allow to
  boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 8 minutes or until
  noodles are tender. Stir in salmon, parsley and tomato mixture.
  Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with tomato rose and
  parsley if desired.

  I'd make the noodles and sauce from scratch and double the salmon.
