Hi Ruth!

>> Migraines can come from a lot of things I guess :( I get one very
>> like a migraine before I get vertigo.. kind of a warning.. haven't had
>> that in years either (g)

> That's good, don't want you being a dizzy blonde at the picnic. Some

Darn! I was counting on that too!! Lol :) Don't worry though, I have meds if it
does hit.. so no worries :) and the kind of ms I have is R&R.. comes and goes..
(relapsing/remitting) I've had MS since I was 24 years old.. and yes, I'm an
old granny now at 56 and sure, I walk a bit slower now, but so does Ron and
he's not ill with anything (g). We joke about that a lot :)

> folks (Steve being one of them) get auras before a migraine comes on; I

Interesting.. Ron and my daughter don't either... it's probably like
brain-freeze /esophagus-freeze thing..

> just get slammed with a mild headache all of a sudden turning
> excruciatingly painful.

That's nasty... :( Ron used to wake up with them sometimes and just be in
agony.. boom.

>> when > I was on radiation but I've come close to making up for it
>> Hey, that's good :) :)

> Yes; I've got to get some today. I'm trying to do a decent clean up on

That's a good idea :) :) Just don't leave tell-tale wrappers about and you'll
be fine hehe :) One of the shops here in Binghamton sells chocolate-covered
coffeebeans.. they are delicious.. I'll try to get some for the picnic.. It's a
neat shop to visit, a lot of asian imports, things from turkey, etc. :) Now if
you had THOSE while you were cleaning...you'd be done in NO time :)

If I can find a good Italian import with Italian peeled tomatoes, I'll usually
go for those rather than even organic.. but it has to be a company I've known
and tried before, and who hasn't changed their ingredients, etc. The Italian
peeled tomatoes are sweeter than most others, and don't have as many seeds.

>> Heh.. the house isn't _that_ drafty (g).. but it was built in about

It was built in 1875, I did look last time I was over by the front door (g)..
this entire street is on the National Historic Registry. So, long windows, yes
indeed.. upstairs, we thought of putting in a greenhouse for my daughter at one
point, the windows were so large and the sun comes in so brightly but then
they decided to move to Ithaca.. :)

>> hehe.. like the one when the Zojirushi decided to only mix in all the
>> ingredients on _one_ side of the breadmachine? that was a mess haha..

> Mine hasn't done that yet. So far, the biggest trouble had been getting
> an even loaf--one side is usually a bit higher than the other. Steve

> about as flat as an aircraft carrier on the top. (G)

I don't usually have uneven loaves.. I do make sure the flour is kind of
smoothed a tiny bit, and when I put the yeast in, I do make a small well for
it.. I started watching for that smoothing bit after my Zo did that one sided
trick on me :) But use a really light touch.. you don't want to pack anything
down..it's just a swoosh kinda after you have all the flour in there..

>> > Whatever is this world coming to? HFCS in bread crumbs? (GAG!)

>> It's in everything.. that's why my daughter has to make every single
>> thing she makes for her family with their allergies to soy, corn and
>> everything else..

> And that's why we're maiking a of of things again like we used to. I'm
> getting pickier about label reading and if I see HFCS, it usually stays
> on the shelf.

Yes, same here. I can't believe they can even label coca-cola as "Classic
Coke" and labe it as it's "Original Recipe", but use HFCS in it !!I had to
check it myself the other day when Ron pointed it out to me :) :) We were just
looking for something cold to drink at the BigM Market here in Windsor, and saw
the Classic Coke sitting there.. we ended up with some bottled
water/juice/drink - No HFCS, I was amazed there is still something on the
shelf! but it WAS the only thing that didn't have HFCS :)

Take care,
Janis
