No, there are at least 3 that I know of. There's also Brunswick County,
NC claiming credit for the origins of the stew.

You're right there. As I recall, the NC version is chicken and pork.

Or, as I said, North Carolina wants to be recognised as the original
state making the stew.

There's also Pine Bark Stew from coastal south GA but that's more
seafood based.

Not only churchs but fire departments, rescue squads, etc.
