I knew a guy who was in on the ISO standard for something or
another, and what apparently happened was that a bunch of
experts got together and argued a lot and ended up hating
each other and hammering out a standard that none of them
was comfortable with, only they had a deadline. So I guess
that standards are hard to set, even by standards setters,
much less by industry. But certainly there's a better way?

I like to think that Clean Dave's heaven will be there for me.
There are a lot of things I'd like to have clarified for me;
plus there's a lot of 'Q and brew to be ingested.

I'll try RTF next time, as it seems to have survived fairly
intact for quite a while.

Bear loin BBQ style
cat: Maine, main, bbq, game
servings: 6

3 lb bear tenderloin
3/4 c vinegar
3/4 c catsup
1 c water
1 md onion; minced
1 cl garlic; minced
2 ts salt
1/4 ts pepper
1 Tb Worcestershire
1/4 ts Tabasco
3 Tb brown sugar
1 ts dry mustard

Slice the tenderloin into cutlets 1/2" thick and roast 30 min
in a preheated 350F oven. [M would saute.]

Combine sauce ingredients and cook 20 min over moderate heat
[M would lose the sugar].

Pour off liquid from meat, cover with sauce, and bake 1 hr.
